There are five main types of figures:

Choosing a wedding dress model depending on your body type
It's no secret that some clothing models suit each of the girls and others do not suit them at all. The individual characteristics of a woman’s figure dictate strict rules of choice - not every blouse will look as perfect on us as on a mannequin. Despite its beauty and solemnity, a wedding dress is just one element of clothing. And to look perfect, the bride should choose a wedding dress based on the characteristics of her figure.
But this is in theory.
What happens in practice? How brides choose wedding dresses, “Wedding of New Kaliningrad. Ru" asked sales consultant of the Amelie salon, Yulia Sagratyan, to tell her story.
- In fact, this is a very important topic. It seems to me that only 5 percent of brides think about whether the style of the wedding dress will suit their figure. Other girls choose a wedding dress simply based on its appearance. It is almost impossible to explain to brides that it is important to choose a wedding dress based on the characteristics of their figure. Girls tend to wear the dress they like. Just seeing themselves in the mirror, brides say - this is not mine, let's try on something else.
Stylists divide the female figure into five main types. I want to tell you which wedding dress models are suitable for each body type.
The first type of figure is conventionally called “Liana”.
These are thin girls with small shoulders and hips, small breasts. If you dress them in a voluminous dress, they can get lost in it and drown. However, a tight dress, which will once again emphasize their thinness, is also not the best choice for “Lian”. They should avoid Mermaid style dresses.
Thin girls need to choose wedding dresses that have drapery in their decoration. It will visually add volume to the hips and chest. This will make your figure more feminine. A-line dresses with a tight-fitting corset that smoothly turns into a wide flowing skirt are well suited for “Lianas”. Such dresses visually make the hips wider than the waist.
Short wedding dresses are also suitable for Liana girls. If the wedding is planned in the summer, choosing such a dress will be a good decision. Greek-style dresses with straps are also suitable for fragile girls.
To hide thin shoulders, I recommend that brides choose dresses with a closed lace top. Moreover, these can be dresses with lace inserts or with lace shirts. Shoulders can be hidden under a bolero. If the bolero is not included with the dress, you can sew it.
A general rule for all thin girls: choose dresses with a voluminous skirt, wear a petticoat, do not avoid it.
The next type of female figure is the H-shaped silhouette.
These are girls with an athletic build, with broad shoulders and hips of the same size. The waist of such brides is weakly expressed.
For this body type, I recommend high-waisted wedding dresses with wide straps and a V-neck. Moreover, a V-shaped neckline will look good both on the back and on the chest. The straps should be smooth, clear, and not embroidered. They will visually hide broad shoulders.
To emphasize the waist and visually reduce the volume of the shoulders, we need to add volume at the bottom. A-line dresses with a wide flowing skirt are well suited for girls with a sporty body type. The skirt can be embroidered with lace or consist of flounces. It wouldn't hurt to wear a petticoat. Ruffles forming a V-neck will make the top of the figure more feminine.
Hourglass figure

Whatever body type the bride has, it is important to understand that a wedding dress chosen in size can eliminate half of the problems a girl faces when choosing a dress. Initially, all dresses are suitable for heights of 175–180 cm, and only ten percent of brides fit perfectly right away. For other girls, dresses are altered - cups are sewn in, length is removed. The main thing is that these changes are minor and do not affect the overall image of the dress.

Those with an hourglass figure are lucky: they can afford almost any style of dress - some to a greater extent, some to a lesser extent, but none of them can ruin their figure. Girls with an hourglass figure should focus on hiding possible small individual defects - for example, full arms or hips. This can be done with the help of jewelry.
When choosing a wedding dress for an hourglass figure, the height of the bride plays a big role. The shorter the girl, the tighter the dress should be. Dresses with a mermaid silhouette and narrow fitted dresses, as well as dresses in the Greek style and Empire style will look great - they will visually elongate the figure. Girls of medium and tall height should pay attention to dresses with full skirts.
Wedding dress for rectangle type
Girls with a rectangle figure should choose a wedding dress that will adjust the waist and visually enlarge the chest and hips.
