1

Lip balm

This undoubtedly useful little thing will come in handy for everyone, especially in the cold season. And the seductive fruity aromas will make the balm an excellent gift.

Bonbonniere contents

Many people are interested in what to put in a bonbonniere for a wedding?

The contents, as well as the appearance of the packaging, can be very different, depending on personal preferences and funds.

However, there are general rules: bonbonnieres and their contents must be the same for all guests, with the exception of children. This is necessary so that none of the guests are offended.

In addition, the time of year affects the gift.

So, for example, in the spring it is best to give:

  • Houseplants. Miniature pots of violets will be a wonderful gift for guests.
  • Seeds. Flower tubers or bulbs can be an excellent spring gift.

In autumn you can give:
  • Homemade sweets. An autumn present can be homemade preparations, for which you can use small jars of jam or a miniature barrel of honey.
  • Fruit gift. Bananas or apples can be a tasty and healthy gift for a wedding.

In winter you can give:
  • Tea. An invigorating drink in a beautiful package can be an interesting gift for guests, especially if it is elite tea.
  • Angels. An almost win-win gift option for guests is a little angel. It is advisable to decorate such a figurine with an indication of the wedding date.
  • Citrus. In winter, fragrant oranges or tangerines can be an excellent gift, especially if they are beautifully decorated with ribbons.

In the summer you can give:

  • Berries. Small baskets with strawberries or cherries will be an excellent gift for guests.
  • Sunglasses. It's nice to receive something as a gift that will always come in handy.

You can also give small notebooks, glasses with wedding images and the wedding date, towels decorated with wedding photographs, photo frames, sweets with wishes, a box of coffee, heart-shaped soap, a keychain with the wedding date, decorative candles, figurines in the form of angels or pigeons.

If the wedding is themed, then the gift should also match the theme.

So, for example, at a wedding in the French style, a figurine of the Eiffel Tower can become a bonbonniere. And if the wedding is in Russian style, then you can give small nesting dolls.

Made from fabric and tulle

Fabric bonbonnieres are most often used for weddings. The tulle decor looks very beautiful and thematic on such boxes. In addition, such treats can be completely decorated in the style of the holiday. The pattern of the fabric bonbonniere can be arbitrary, or you can use some templates for making cardboard boxes.

However, we will offer a simpler way to make a fabric bonbonniere.

We will need:

  • a piece of burlap;
  • scissors;
  • measuring tape or ruler;
  • fabric paints or decorative elements;
  • ribbon;
  • thread and needle;
  • sweets for filling.

Let's start sewing. Cut a rectangle from a piece of burlap. Its dimensions can be any, such as is necessary in each specific case. However, it should be taken into account that the cut should be 2 times larger than planned, as if two bonbonnieres were placed on top of each other. Our size is 10 by 15 cm.

Fold the rectangle in half vertically. The wrong side of the workpiece should be on top. Sew the side seams. Turn it inside out.

We decorate at our discretion. In the example, we simply paint with acrylic paints for fabric.

Let's try to connect the parts. The lid of the bonbonniere should not puff up or compress the base. Opening and closing the box should be easy.

When the box is ready, you can start decorating. From scrap paper according to the template we worked with earlier, we cut out three bases of the Christmas tree: two upper ones and one lower one. One top piece will be located inside the box, so it should be made a little smaller.

Glue the cut piece inside the base box. In order for the paper to lie well and to be able to smooth it thoroughly, especially in the corners, we use a plastic card. Glue the remaining Christmas trees on the outer sides of the box.

We use a ready-made decorated element, a bow and dried flowers. In order to add elegance to the box, we paint the wooden decor in gold color, after drying, apply PVA glue and fill it with flower software. Let it dry and shake off the excess. The result is the effect of an icy twig, which, moreover, glitters beautifully.

How can you fill a bonbonniere jar for a wedding?

Traditionally, bonbonnieres are filled with glazed almonds. Such sweetness is considered a symbol of eternal love, over which even time is powerless. It is customary to put five dragees, which symbolize the wishes and hopes for the young couple and guests - fertility, wealth, happiness, health, longevity. In addition to almonds, you can give various candies, for example, caramel, dried fruits in chocolate, marzipan, colored candies, etc.

Honey or jam

The day after the celebration, the bride and groom begin their honeymoon. By presenting jam, honey or preserves to your guests, you will remind your guests of sweet love. This is a universal gift that everyone will love. Original, tasty, healthy, it won’t gather dust on the shelf, and besides, it will always bring wonderful memories and a smile on your face.

To make the bonbonniere look more interesting, you should come up with original packaging and a special design. It can be combined with the color scheme of the celebration decor, or choose a universal option. It's a great idea to make name tags on which you write sweet wishes for each guest, but it's worth coming up with one font for everyone.

Cookies or candy

Place small cookies that you personally baked into the jars. In winter, this can be baked goods with spices such as cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger. Aromatic cookies in the evening over a cup of tea will remind your guests of you and the day they had an unforgettable experience. Tea bags of an unusual, unique variety can also be used as an additional filler. An original idea is to fill gifts with interesting, delicious candies. You can also make this sweetness yourself.

Cookies and sweets for filling jars

Coffee beans

Bonbonniere jars are easily filled with aromatic coffee beans. It is better not to choose ground coffee, since the gift does not look so aesthetically pleasing. Choose tasty and aromatic varieties, but do not buy too exotic ones, since not everyone will like it. Additionally, you can add a cinnamon stick, star anise, clove bud, black peppercorns and other spices with which coffee is brewed.

Jars of sea salt

Bonbonniere jars filled with sea salt are more of a gift for women. Any representative of the fair sex will be pleased to receive such a gift. Salt can be flavored with different essential oils, but you should not choose a very strong smell; it is better to buy one with a pine, light citrus flavor. Colored salt, intricately laid out in layers, will look great.
