How to triple a Hawaiian sauna party - step by step algorithm

Often we want to relax and feel like we are part of a delightful tropical paradise on the shores of the endless ocean, dancing the fiery hula in light festive outfits. A Hawaii-themed evening will delight guests of all ages and is suitable for any celebration!

To hold an atmospheric holiday, think about its main components:

  1. Decorating the room
  2. Program and entertainment
  3. Treats and drinks
  4. Suits
  5. Invitations

Decorations for a Hawaiian party

Imagine that you were on an extended vacation in Hawaii. What will remind you of the wonderful Hawaiian culture and its tropical landscapes? — These “souvenirs” have to be recreated. It is best to prepare for the celebration a few weeks before the appointed date, so that you can think through all the details at a calm pace. Decorating the room - creating tropics in the apartment The most important thing for a Hawaiian theme is creating a summer mood of lightness and fun. The palm trees of the islands fascinate with their majesty, so the main element of the decor is their large leaves. Live palm leaves can be purchased at flower shops. Artificial palm leaves or cut out of paper are suitable for taiga. To create them, templates will come to your aid; print the sheet and transfer the outline onto colored cardboard.

Furniture decor is also of great importance, it helps guests to fully immerse themselves in the theme. Cover the table with a tablecloth featuring summer flowers or any large colored patterns. Decorate the chairs with thinly cut ribbons.

For drinking, choose beautiful glasses and decorate them with straws or umbrellas that guests can also use for fruit and other snacks!

A memorable addition will be a photo zone - a banner or a decorated wall, against which guests can take a selfie or a group photo. This detail will help your friends remember the evening for many years!

Thoughtful little things create the mood, such as:

  • Traditional musical instruments (ukulele, drums);
  • Floral decorations;
  • Fairy lights;
  • Thematic dishes;
  • Beach elements (umbrella, sunglasses, sun loungers, etc.);
  • Balloons.

Hawaii Party Contests

After greeting your guests with a solemn “Aloha!”, give them time to get acquainted, have a snack and get used to the surroundings. As soon as you notice that they are starting to get bored, you can start an entertainment program. Music greatly influences the overall atmosphere of the holiday and the mood of each participant. Therefore, first you need to select a list of musical compositions that will play in the background all evening. No holiday would be complete without games! List of the most interesting and fun competitions in which everyone participates:

Divide into teams. Your pins will be from 5 to 10 pineapples - live or from scrap materials. Try using plastic bottles and cans. Knock down pins with makeshift or real coconuts!

A game similar to “Hot Potato”: Place the players in a circle on the floor, use soft pillows, and play tropical pleasant music in the background. Task: toss the coconut as quickly as possible. Anyone who holds the coconut for too long is eliminated. You can find coconut at the grocery store or make a fake one.

  • "Hawaiian Dictionary"

Guests are divided into two teams. Each player on both teams must write on a piece of paper a word that he associates with Hawaii. For example: beach, ocean, swimsuit, surfboard. Having mixed the pieces of paper in the hat, the team player pulls out the piece of paper and explains the word to his team using drawings. You can't talk. The team with the most guessed words wins.

  • "Limbo"

A traditional game you've definitely seen in movies and at beach parties. Prepare a decorated stick under which guests will pass. The ideal stick is a reed stick; you can find one in flower shops. Two people will hold it parallel to the floor. The rest compete to see who can bend lower back and walk under it. For this game, incendiary and cheerful music is suitable.

  • "Hula Hup"

Using a timer, organize a competition to see who can hula hoop for as long as possible. To complicate the task, throw some hoops on the winners!

Scenario for a children's party in Hawaiian style

A Hawaiian party should be active and fun. For such a holiday you need to prepare as much entertainment, games and competitions as possible. You can also conduct an interesting master class.

Games and competitions

Games should be selected based on the age of the birthday person and guests:

  • For older children, you can arrange an exciting quest called “Captured by the Natives.” All the guys need to be divided into 2 teams. In the first of them there will be natives, in the second - travelers whose ship was wrecked and who were captured by the inhabitants of the island. The members of each team must choose a captain and leader respectively. Travelers are tied to sticks with ropes, their faces are painted, they are threatened with death, and they are danced around them. They need to come up with a rescue plan and ultimately escape from the natives.
  • Younger children will love the Hot Coconut game. This is a knockout game, played on the principle of the “Hot Bread” game with a ball. The presenter puts all participants in a circle, turns on the music, and gives the ball. The guys must pass it to another participant as soon as possible so that the ball does not linger in their hands. The host turns off the music. At this moment, the one who did not manage to pass the coconut to another participant is eliminated from the game. They play until there is only one participant left, who will become the winner.
  • Everyone will love the competition game called Hulu Training. For this you will need several sports hoops (light, not metal). They are distributed to the first group of participants. They lift the hoop onto their waist and start spinning it while the music is turned on. The point of the game is to keep the hoop spinning for as long as possible.

Children's activities

  • "Hawaiian dance with a trick." This is an interesting moving competition. The presenter should show the participants the movements of Hawaiian dances, and the children should repeat after him. But not everything is as simple as it seems: the presenter is allowed to move his legs, but the participants are not. In this case, the presenter must deliberately confuse the participants and provoke them to move their legs with phrases like: “Now 2 steps to the left,” “Show how high you can jump.”
  • Entertainment “Hawaiian forfeits” will amuse every party participant. You need to come up with tasks in advance and write them on a piece of cardboard. On the forfeits you can write tasks for the participants (dance a native dance; eat sliced fruits without using your hands; sing any song in the Hawaiian style; quickly eat a banana, pretending to be a monkey; sing a song in a fictitious Hawaiian language; prepare a salad from the offered fruits and treat everyone to it guests). At the beginning of the competition, you need to ask each participant for his item (jewelry, sunglasses, handbag, pareo) and put it in a bag. Mix things. The presenter takes out things one by one. The owners of each of them take turns drawing forfeits and completing tasks to return what belongs to them.
  • “Fruit Run” is an active game. For it you need to stock up on a lot of oranges. Participants are asked to split into two teams. They all stand in columns. You need to cover the distance from your place where the plate is placed to the basket filled with oranges. In this case, you need to keep your hands behind your back. Running up to the basket, the child should grab the fruit with his chin and press it to his chest. Thus, the oranges must be brought to your team’s plate. The team with the most citrus fruits will win.
  • "Sitting Dancing" is a game that will amuse everyone. The presenter turns on the music, puts all participants in a circle and gives instructions: “Only hands dance. Now it's time for the legs. Now try to dance... with your face! (we are talking about facial expressions).”
  • “Rope” is an active competition that both younger and older children will enjoy taking part in. It will require a long rope. Two people must hold it on both sides. At this time, the participants walk under it to the music, trying not to touch. You have to go through the rope by leaning back and arching your back. With each attempt, the rope is lowered lower. Whoever can pass the test with the lowest rope position will be the winner.

Creative tasks

Many children do not mind relaxing after active games and doing a creative task.

A simple and interesting activity is making a Hawaiian idol mask. It is necessary to select and print out images of such masks in advance so that children have a more complete understanding of them.

As material for making the model you need to prepare:

  • large plastic or cardboard disposable cups;
  • colored cardboard;
  • colored paper;
  • felt;
  • paints;
  • pencils;
  • glue.

From the given material, children make a Hawaiian idol mask.

Experiment "Volcanoes"

In Hawaii, volcanic soil is still forming in certain areas. You can invite children to create something like volcanoes with their own hands.

For the experiment you need soda, citric acid, and food coloring of different colors.

You need to place deep bowls on plates, add soda and acid in a 2:1 ratio, add dye and pour in warm water almost to the edges of the bowl. The volcano will erupt soon.

Master class on creating paper garlands

For paper flowers you will need a lot of ordinary multi-colored napkins. You also need a thick thread for stringing flowers, scissors, a stapler and a thick needle.

Having distributed the necessary materials to the children, you can begin the master class. The presenter shows how to make paper garlands, and the children repeat.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. 3 napkins of different colors are folded in a stack, fastened in the center with a stapler.
  2. Draw the outline of the flower on a napkin and cut out the shape.
  3. Lift each layer of napkin and press with your fingers to form a flower bud shape.

You need to make a lot of flowers - 7-10 for each garland. They need to be strung on a thread and tied.

Snacks and refreshments

For drinks, try sweetish, energizing fruit drinks, garnished with fruit slices, or surprise your friends with coconut cocktails. Coconut milk can be found in many grocery stores today.

The most popular snacks are fruits. You can make beautiful compositions from assorted fruits that will become a themed decoration. For snacks, any product that can be used to create a Hawaiian-style dish is suitable.

For more sophisticated dishes, you can offer something unusual:

  • Grilled banana with vanilla ice cream;
  • Mango salsa with a hint of summer;
  • Meat balls with pineapples;
  • Pineapple pieces frozen in chocolate on a stick;
  • Hawaiian chicken kebab.

A sweet end to the holiday can be a pineapple or coconut dessert with ice cream.

Hawaiian Party Costumes

Dress code at the event is mandatory, otherwise how can you experience the theme evening to the fullest without being part of it? Get out your beach suits. The simplest outfit for boys is beach shorts, a T-shirt or a multi-colored shirt with a floral print, and accessories: sunglasses, a straw hat and flip-flops. Add a truly Hawaiian touch with a floral necklace and bracelets.

Not everyone will have time to prepare a suit for a party, so prepare floral necklaces and bracelets for your guests. The average cost of such accessories is 100-200 rubles.

Outfits for girls can look varied: you don’t have to wear a swimsuit top or a skirt, you can choose summer, light clothes in a colorful palette and add a flower necklace. If you're ready to make costumes, an easy option: make a hula dance skirt! Get some fabric scraps or colored trash bags and decorate your elastic waistband with a flower garland.

A big plus of a Hawaiian party: the low cost of costumes and paraphernalia. You can create a tropical atmosphere at home for 1/10 the cost of a ticket to Hawaii.

Invitation for friends

The invitation should match the style of the Hawaiian party. Beautiful cards with an island theme (a hula skirt, a Hawaiian shirt, a totem, a palm tree), in the form of air tickets or a trip to Hawaii, a pineapple with an invitation label - the choice is up to the party hostess. Try to provide the necessary information (date, time and place, dress code) taking into account the style of the bachelorette party.

Suits for the bride and bridesmaids

Traditional Hawaiian attire includes a flowing skirt, a flower crown (lei) around the neck, and colorful flowers in the hair, legs and arms. The traditional outfits of hot Hawaiian beauties are combined with: plain T-shirts, swimsuits, jeans, and colorful skirts. Additionally, you can use maracas to make the holiday even more exciting.

Artificial flower leis

This mandatory attribute can be easily made from multi-colored artificial flowers , which are sold in all markets and souvenir shops. We will need a rope on which we will string the petals and scissors. Traditionally, hibiscus are used for wreaths, but you can use other bright, not too prickly flowers.

Hawaiian wreath

We begin to disassemble each artificial bud, separating the petals from the hard stems, leaves and plastic stamens. Place the petals in a pile. There must be a lot of them. The more petals, the more magnificent and rich the wreath will be.

Petals for a wreath

Petals for a wreath

We pass a rope through the core of each flower and tie a knot that will prevent the elements from slipping. It is advisable to make the finished wreath long so that it can be easily removed or put on without damaging your hair.

Such leis will not wrinkle or deteriorate, even if your cheerful company goes swimming in them in the pool.

Another option is to make a lei out of paper or paper napkins . They are not difficult to make, but the strength of the wreaths will be significantly inferior to those made from artificial petals.

To create a wreath, corrugated paper, tissue paper or colored paper napkins are suitable. Be prepared to spend a lot of time cutting out the flowers using the template below. We fold the paper in several layers to speed up the process. After completing this stage of work, lightly crumple the paper petals and string them onto a rope.

Template for making a Hawaiian wreath

Don't want to fuss with paper, but have a lot of silk ribbons in stock? Let's make leis from fabric . The process is very simple. Let's take all the available ribbons and, collecting each one like an accordion, string it on a needle and strong thread. Instead of tapes, you can use strips of corrugated or wrapping paper, or colored cellophane film.

Hawaiian bead variant

When your leis are ready, make bracelets for your arms and legs in the same way, using a thin elastic band instead of rope.

How to make a Hawaiian skirt with your own hands

A wreath and bracelets are not all the attributes of a Hawaiian party. To complete the look, special skirts should be made. On the sunny island, locals make their skirts from palm fibers, additionally decorating them with fresh flowers. But for a bachelorette party, you can use tinsel, thin satin ribbons, synthetic fibers (colored bags cut into thin strips), and tulle.

The basis of the skirt will be a linen elastic band. It is on this elastic band that folded ribbons, tulle or other materials used should be tied. To hide the attachment point, we make bright flowers from fabric or use ready-made, artificial ones. Sew them to the elastic band. The skirt is ready.

Hawaiian party: costumes and various outfits for girls

First, let's decide on the format of the party - home or beach. If you want to have a party on the sand, then one of the central elements of the costume will be a swimsuit. Choose swimsuits in bright colors to make your suit look more festive. You can also choose an interesting skirt and hairpin to go with your swimsuit. You can buy skirts for a Hawaiian party (for example, here) or make them yourself.

Children's Hawaiian skirt

In order to make a skirt, you need satin ribbons of the length that the future skirt will be. The ribbons can simply be sewn to a wide elastic band that will be at the waist. Also, the skirt can be made of more natural materials - for example, weeping willow branches. If you combine these two materials - ribbons and willow - you will get an excellent outfit for a Hawaiian party.

You can decorate the bodice of your swimsuit with flowers, thus completely completing your look. If the party is taking place in a club or at home, then even an ordinary T-shirt or T-shirt can serve as a top for the costume.

Also, clothes for a Hawaiian party can be very diverse - bright sundresses and summer dresses, jeans with T-shirts in bright colors and even the most ordinary beach pareos. Use your imagination and just choose what you will feel free and comfortable in :).

When deciding how to dress for a Hawaiian party , do not forget about such an important detail as accessories. These could be interesting hair clips, belts, funny flip-flops.

When braiding your hair, pay attention to flower-shaped hairpins that are fashionable this season. Their price is affordable for everyone, and the colors allow you to choose a flower to match your outfit.

You can also opt for nautical themed hair clips. For example, every girl would like elegant, fragile shells attached to a headband or invisible headband.

Choose beautiful necklaces and a matching bracelet and you will become a real star of a themed party.

Shells for hairpins can be purchased at any gift store. If you were at sea and brought with you some beautiful specimens, you can use them to realize your ideas!

If you want to make your own Hawaiian leis for your outfit, then you can follow the recommendations from the article “How to make paper flowers for a garland for a Hawaiian party.” It is there that we show a master class on how to quickly weave original, and most importantly, cheap garlands.

Hawaiian dedication

A good start would be to initiate your girlfriends into hot island girls. You can do all the tasks together or prepare forfeits - each girl completes her own test.

The hero of the occasion asks to perform the dance of the Hawaiian tribe Mumba-Yumba - dance with the priests (write the name of the bride with the priests in the dance).

A challenging and fun task is to portray the wife of a Hawaiian man: say the word “Aloha!” with different intonations suitable for family situations (when he came home late from the bar, when you want a fur coat, when you confess your love to him, when you crashed his car, etc.)

Crocodile in Hawaiian . You need to tell your innermost secret to your friends in the Hawaiian language, which you need to come up with right away. At the same time, you can actively gesticulate. And the girls have to guess what it’s about.

Competitions

Dances of hot island girls - let's rock it with friends, arrange a dance master class: "Lambada" and "Macarena" in all sorts of variations, and the "Hula" dance is also relevant when you need to depict the wind, waves, algae on the bottom of the sea, a crab, a mermaid with your body.

Competition of swimsuits or beach hats - for the best and most original decoration with your own hands (you can announce the competition in advance, in the invitation, or at the place of the bachelorette party - stock up on various accessories, items for decorating hats). Each model can have its own name.

Competition for the most exotic cocktail for the bride with an original name.

Organize an artistic squeezing competition

In Hawaii, the most essential thing is sunblock! Let your friends draw the word “love” with a tube of cream. This could be an icon, a word, a diagram, a hieroglyph, etc. This will be artistic extrusion! All girls will be given a diploma “Participant in the Festival of Artistic Squeezing.”

Wishes for the bride and advice on how to be an ideal wife can also be fun at a bachelorette party. My friends write on pieces of paper, which we seal in a bottle, and it can only be opened after a year. Or you can make a calendar book from a diary, where guests will write wishes for each day - all the days in the book should be scheduled for different holidays (fictional and real).

Games with humor for a bachelorette party

The girls write an SMS on the topic: an interview from a bachelorette party for the urgent issue of the newspaper “Hot News”. The bride suggests drawing out words that must be used, then the news will be “hot” - the law of composing news. Words: iceberg, space, oasis, emigration, hula hoop, aborigine. All SMS messages are sent to the groom!

Hawaii has active volcanoes. You can play out the following situation with your guests: suddenly a volcano wakes up, what you take with you is the most important thing. You need to write on one piece of paper what you will take with you. And on the other write - why. It is necessary to mix up the guests' answers and read: the thing is the reason. Mixed together it will be very funny. But warn everyone that this is from the realm of science fiction, so you don’t have to take money and documents.

The game "Limbo" from childhood.

2 girls hold the rope, and the others must dance under it and not fall. The rope drops lower and lower each time.

To entertain guests at a Hawaiian party, you can also include a marine theme.

Hawaiian party: what should men wear?

For the stronger sex, the issue with a suit can be resolved in a couple of minutes :). White shorts, a bright Hawaiian shirt and flip-flops are enough. An interesting attribute would be a straw hat or a small guitar :).

When preparing for a themed party and figuring out how to dress for a Hawaiian party , you should remember that the main attribute of any holiday is mood and warm company. The mood you come with is how you will spend the holiday :).

We hope that after reading our article you do not have a question: “What to wear to a Hawaiian party?”

Photoshoot

Invite a professional photographer and organize several photo zones. From this party you can get a lot of colorful photos as a souvenir.

If you approach the organization of the event correctly, you can quickly and inexpensively prepare for a bachelorette party in Hawaiian style.

Unbridled fun and fiery dancing will help the bride to relax and unwind after long wedding preparations.

Guests will also have fun and get a lot of positive impressions, because such a bachelorette party cannot be compared with traditional gatherings.

Your girlfriends will surely appreciate the idea of a Hawaiian-style bachelorette party - because you give them a great opportunity to feel like the tropical girls from the Bounty ad.

Hawaiian Party - DIY Costumes

Hawaii is a special island where there is an eternal summer, very friendly people live and a festive atmosphere reigns. But not everyone can afford to go there. This is why holding events in the style of a Hawaiian party is becoming more and more popular. To create the necessary atmosphere of this island, in addition to the appropriate decoration of the room, delicious treats and fun music, all guests must wear costumes to a Hawaiian party, which are very easy to make with your own hands.

In this article you will learn how to make Hawaiian style costumes for women, men and children.

Hawaiian costume for girls and women

A women's outfit for a Hawaiian party for any age consists of the following parts:

  • colorful summer sundress;
  • grass skirt (for hula dancers) and bra;
  • flower beads;
  • hair ornaments.
  • several spools of raffia thread of different colors;
  • rope.

  1. We measure the waist and add 10-15 cm to this figure, so we will know how long we need to cut the rope.
  2. Cut the raffia. To do this, we first determine how long our skirt should be, then multiply by 2 and add 6 cm. We get the length of the segments into which we should cut the entire raffia. The number of threads needed depends on the waist size; on average, for a woman of size 44, about 100 threads are required.
  3. We lay the rope flat on the table and begin tying raffia threads onto it.
  4. Fold the raffia piece in half, place the middle under the rope and fold it forward to form a loop. We pull out the free ends of the raffia into it and tighten it.
  5. We do this along the entire length of the rope, leaving only the ends free (7-10 cm) so that you can tie it.

If you can't buy rolls of raffia thread, you can take paper bags from the grocery store and cut them along the sides along the entire length, making slits on one side. Then connect the resulting parts with tape and glue flowers on top.

As the top part of a costume for a Hawaiian party, a swimsuit bodice or a short top trimmed with paper flowers is perfect.

Making flower beads

  • soft cardboard with printed flowers;
  • scissors;
  • needle with thick thread;
  • glue gun

  1. Cut out flowers and leaves from cardboard.

  2. We fold the leaves in half and twist the flowers with scissors to give them volume.
  3. Glue the flowers together and arrange them in the order they should be on the beads.
  4. Thread a thick thread into a needle and begin stringing. We pierce the flowers in the center and the leaves at the base.
  5. We tie the ends of the rope together and our beads are ready.

To decorate the heads of women and girls, you can use large flower hair clips, most often orchids, or a wreath made in the same way as beads.

Hawaiian costume for boys and men

Men's attire consists of:

  • shorts;
  • shirts;
  • flower beads;
  • headdress and other accessories.

When choosing a shirt for a Hawaiian-themed party, you should opt for a bright shirt with large flowers.

You can also wear a ready-made beach suit, consisting of a colored shirt and shorts. If you don’t have such clothes, then you can simply make long shorts from old jeans; to do this, simply cut them off at the knee.

The edge along the cut line can be stitched and made into a fringe, or simply folded over and stitched.

A man should also make traditional beads made of paper flowers for his neck. You can complement the look with bright sunglasses and a straw hat.

You should come to such a party in flip-flops, which women can also decorate with flowers.

Dress code

Those who wear the right clothes will be able to look harmonious at such a themed party. Organic shoes - flip-flops, sandals. If the party is on the beach, the ideal dress code is bare feet. When it comes to clothing, there are some interesting styles that are easy to pull off:

  • Surfer. Stylish swimsuit or swimming trunks, surfboard, comfortable shorts.
  • Hawaiian resident. A colorful shirt, loose shorts or a skirt.
  • Hula dancer. Special skirt, swimsuit.

The leia is the quintessential Hawaiian accessory needed for this party. It consists of large flower “beads”. Even if guests fail to comply with the dress code, wearing a lei over their regular clothes will make them look organic. When going on vacation in Hawaiian style, do not forget about a hat that will protect you from the bright sun and suntan lotion (as in the photo).

Hawaiian Party: DIY Costumes

Before you start preparing any themed party, in this case it is Hawaiian, thoroughly study:

  • geographical location (volcanic Hawaiian islands), climate (hot tropical), characteristic features (the capital of delightful orchids);
  • take educational online video tours of the Hawaiian islands (plunge into the exotic world to better understand what exactly you want from your event);
  • study national costumes, as well as unusual traditional accessories.

After exploring the life of the islands, prepare everything you need. You will need: - colorful fabric pieces, ribbons, corrugated paper; - scissors; - centimeter; - old clothes with floral designs or variegated colors; - beads, beads, fishing line; - creativity and inexhaustible imagination.

Gather a team of assistants, involving relatives and those invited to the party in the preparation. Start sewing suits in advance so that you can add or alter them.

Hawaii themed party costumes. We do everything with our own hands

  1. Men's "Hawaiian"

The men are wearing a Hawaiian shirt. The girl is wearing a pareo skirt

The popular Hawaiian shirt (the so-called “Hawaiian”) will not cause any special problems when searching. Many who visit seaside resorts have them. If there is none, you can make it yourself:

Method 1. Take a plain old shirt (preferably a bright color), come up with a future design (the obligatory presence of palm trees, the sun, flowers). Build future elements from scraps of fabric and sew them in a chaotic order onto the shirt;

Method 2. Borrow elements from old unwanted items with an appropriate nautical theme. Here you can cut out palm trees, the sun, ships in finished form, and use them as stripes.

The bottom part of clothing is shorts, everyone has trousers. It would be great if these were fabric summer shorts.

2. Hawaiian skirt

There are countless options for a creative approach here. You will need:

  • elastic band - the basis for a skirt belt or a ribbon tie;
  • the skirt can be made from multi-colored ribbons, pieces of fabric, Christmas tree rain, thick threads (raffia), knitting yarn;
  • A delightful rustling skirt can be made from ordinary bags that just need to be cut into thin ribbons and connected to each other.

The main thing is that these elements are long enough and strong enough. You can attach them to your belt in the following ways: sew, glue, use a stapler, tie.

Skirt made from bags - fast, cheap and beautiful

1. Hawaiian native costume made of polypropylene twine. 2. Skirt made of thread with fringe

3. Summer version of the pareo skirt

If you haven’t purchased such a popular attribute at the resort, try making it yourself:

  • mark the length with a centimeter (usually to the bones of the legs),
  • find or ask your friends for a thin transparent fabric;
  • draw a square with sides equal to the length of the pareo and cut it off.

Instead of a pareo, use a thin scarf or a rectangular chiffon scarf, but of sufficient width (with the ability to tie it at the waist).

Men can also use a pareo. These could be pieces of towels (preferably nautical themed), fabrics with a colorful print.

4. Hawaiian style bodices

You don’t have to buy expensive underwear; you can take a swimsuit top, top, or a piece of underwear itself. We use the same techniques as when creating a lei:

  • Cut out the outlines of flowers from corrugated paper or variegated fabric. Layer one on top of the other to imitate fullness and richness;
  • buy artificial buds;
  • try decorating the bodice with large beads and ribbons, which will also make good jewelry.

To avoid damaging the structure of the bodice, we strongly recommend that you carefully sew or glue floral items.

Sundresses or dresses with floral prints that were once popular can easily be found among your older relatives.

5. The Essential Poncho

The famous Hawaiian poncho is a completely simple cape that will take very little time to create:

  • take a piece of fabric (calculate the diameter as the length of a straight line from one wrist to the other), fold it in four;
  • mark the proposed hole for the head in the center (preliminarily determine the required size);
  • cut carefully with scissors.

Such a simple poncho can be made from either a square piece of fabric or a round one. Do not use fabric that is too thin as it will develop and resemble a flag.

6. Shoes

The trend of any season – “flip-flops” – will look good on your feet. Probably everyone has them. You can buy it in any store quite inexpensively. It all depends on the quality and material.

Accessories and decorations

The Hawaiian islands are generously endowed by nature: delightful orchids, roses, jasmine... All this relaxed beauty is expressed in clothing and attributes that will need to be used when preparing not only a Hawaiian costume but also accessories for it.

  1. Traditional flower beads - Hawaiian leis

Method 1. Take colorful scraps of fabric or colored paper (preferably corrugated), make small accordions out of them and thread them onto a thread. Each subsequent “bead” should be sharply different in color from the previous one;

Method 2. Use corrugated paper and a pre-prepared cardboard sample of the future flower. Also, flowers can be ordered at any studio or bought in specialized stores (for the especially lazy);

Method 3. Use real flowers, if possible, large and bright (roses, daisies, lilies);

Method 4. If you want to shock your guests with an ultra-modern approach to the party, try making beads from any caramel candies in colorful wrappers. True, it will be a heavy decoration.

The same principle is used to create delicate bracelets for ankles and wrists. Large elements cannot be used in this case. Small flowers in pastel colors are ideal.

Here's a video on how to make a paper lei.

The neck can be decorated with long threads of large multi-colored beads. If there are none, here are some options for creating them:

  • Roll the fabric into a ball (choose the size individually) and wrap it with multi-colored threads. Make as many of them as possible. Pass the balls you made yourself onto the base;
  • If possible, make beads from berries or peas. Such a “nutritious” accessory will not last long, but will greatly amuse the guests;
  • tubes for cups can also serve as elements of future decoration. Use multi-colored, combined ones. To do this, carefully cut them into equal small parts and string them onto the base. Alternate with beads for greater effect.

For the base, a thin fishing line or thick thread is best, on which you can string beads or seed beads. If you alternate them, the decoration will turn out much more massive and interesting.

2. Beautiful delicate flower in your hair

This decoration is easy to find in any flower shop. A real bud in your hair will also look good. Or create an accessory yourself:

Method 1: Use artificial flowers.

Method 2. From cardboard, make several stencils of future buds of different sizes, each of which should correspond to its own color. Cut them out of crepe paper or thick fabric and connect them from largest to smallest. Try to make the central detail brighter than the rest.

Don't know how to successfully secure your jewelry? Use a hair hoop. Place a flower on the side - the accessory is ready!

Method 3. Attach artificial flowers to an ordinary elastic band or hairpin using glue or thread. If the party takes place in a sauna or bathhouse, keep in mind that the glue may lose its properties due to high temperatures.

3. Hats

Straw hats will finally transform men into true Hawaiians. For believability and greater resemblance, make several holes or pull out the rods.

Flower crowns look great on girls.

Popular "bandanas", scarves or headbands are also suitable. It is advisable to choose a print that is floral, colorful, or variegated. Sunglasses are best used only with large lenses.

4. Musical attributes

The coolest musical accessories will be a ukulele and a small drum that imitates the Hawaiian "ipu".

It’s good when one of those gathered plays the guitar and can play Hawaiian tunes.

Remember that everyone makes their own costumes for a Hawaiian party. The organizer can only take the trouble to prepare leis and flower hairpins for the head.

The power is in the details

When planning a Hawaiian party, accessories are almost more important than clothes. If one of the guests comes in jeans and a T-shirt, then a couple of touches will quickly give him a festive look. Flowers in the hair and garlands around the neck are considered traditional details. Moreover, they are suitable for both female and male looks. Girls can wear them on their hands instead of a bracelet, decorate the waistband of a skirt, or make a headband.

If you have beautiful large shells on hand, you can quickly paint them with blue, yellow or red gouache and attach them to your hair. Straw hats are sometimes worn instead. For a street celebration in sunny weather, dark glasses are suitable. They can be worn indoors, but the artificial light will quickly tire your eyes. We can’t forget about flip-flops, which are suitable even for an apartment.

Decor

Hawaii is a vibrant summer holiday destination. In Hawaii you need to have fun, relax, sing songs, dance, eat fruits. Therefore, our holiday decor will be just as summery and light - let there be flowers, fresh fruits and the sea everywhere.

The sea should have palm trees, and for the palm tree you will need 3-4 pineapples, palm leaves (or similar leaves, which can be ordered from flower shops or florists) and skewers for mini-kebabs.

First, cut off the tops of the pineapples. Try to cut straight so that the palm does not fall over. Remove the core from all pineapples except the first one. Since the first pineapple will be the basis for the palm tree, it must be stable.

When all the elements are ready, take the skewers. You will need 5 skewers for the lower part, and 4 for the upper one. Pierce the lower pineapple with skewers and place a new one on top.

To keep the leaves well, you can attach them with a hot glue gun. And the real palm tree is ready!

Place wicker baskets filled with pineapples, bananas, coconuts and mangos nearby. They will create a tropical mood. Here we should not forget about the popular skewers. They will add color to your dishes. And, in general, fruit compositions will greatly refresh the table and the holiday itself.

Also, for the ambience of the Hawaiian Islands, create a romantic corner. Find unusual flowers (not daisies, for example, but orchids). Collect pebbles on the street, or even better, by the sea, take a transparent container, immerse everything in water, and light candles. Depending on the colors, this composition can become a splash of color in your holiday interior.

There are never too many flowers at a Hawaiian party. Therefore, walls, curtains, and ceilings can be perfectly decorated with flower garlands.

Location

Since Hawaii is an island, it is best to have a bachelorette party close to the water. It could be:

  • bath or sauna;
  • sea coast;
  • bank of a river or lake;
  • aquapark.

If all this is not available to you, you can hold a Hawaiian party at home or in a cafe/restaurant, decorating them in island style. In this case, it is advisable to decorate the room immediately before the party, with the help of friends and the staff of the establishment.

In our latitudes, the most affordable option related to water is to hold a Hawaiian-style bachelorette party in a sauna or bathhouse with a swimming pool, as well as a river or lake (provided that there is a body of water in your city and it happens in the warm season).

Interesting! A popular option for a Hawaiian bachelorette party is a sauna party. Be sure to check it out.

Whatever place you choose, it needs to be decorated correctly to create the right atmosphere.

Cloth

Clothes are important for a Hawaiian party. If there is an opportunity to spend a holiday by the pool, then of course, swimwear will be required. If not, invite the birthday girl or boy to make leis for their friends - an indispensable decoration for a Hawaiian birthday.

For one such garland, prepare 1 roll of crepe paper. The rolled crepe paper roll will need to be cut crosswise into 5 cm rolls. Then each roll will need to be sewn with thread along the strip, pulling it together in bunches. When you put the bunch on the needle, pull it together, and turn the paper that you pulled together clockwise. When one ribbon runs out, you can add a ribbon of a different color.

Flower leis are also easy to make from strips of crepe paper. Take the strip and twist it into a flower, turning the petals inside out. We tie the flowers one by one onto a long string. The more colors, the more beautiful the lei.

Skirts for girls can also be made from ropes or ribbons. Braid two ropes with a braid. Then take the ribbons, fold them in half and push the ends through your braid. You can simply tie it in knots. You can sew flowers onto the belt. And then the girls will be impossible to distinguish from Hawaiian beauties.

For the skirt, you can also use New Year’s “rain”, colored garbage bags with ties, or you can use straw, if, of course, you can find it.

Guests can wear straw hats, sunglasses, flip-flops, sandals and swimsuits.

The most popular Hawaiian game is Limbo. For it you will need a pole or rope decorated with ribbons and flowers. Children walk under this rope to the music. When all children pass once, the bar is lowered. The main condition is that you must pass under the rope, bending only backwards and not forwards. The most flexible participant wins!

“Pineapple Ball” Everyone knows the game where a ball is passed around in a circle accompanied by music. When the music stops, the one who has the ball in his hands dances, or recites a poem, or sings a song, etc. In our game we will replace the ball with a small pineapple, because this is Hawaii. And for older children, we will complicate the task and throw not one pineapple in a circle, but two in different directions. When the music ends, those who still have pineapples in their hands will have to dance together.

Hawaiian dances “Aloha, Hula”

You can learn the elements of hula dance, but this is not important for the holiday. In Hawaiian hello is “Aloha”. Music plays and the first participant says to someone in the circle: “Aloha, Sveta!” and shows a dance move. Everyone on the left hand of the presenter, in turn, begins to say “Aloha, Sveta!” and repeat the movement until this movement reaches Sveta. Then Sveta says: “Aloha, Misha!” and shows another movement. Everyone also repeats the new movement until it reaches Misha. Everyone has to greet someone. And if you like it more than once.

You can also prepare hoops for games. Wrap them in bright shiny paper and come up with various team tasks. For example, go through obstacles by spinning a hoop around your waist or on both wrists at the same time. You can place the hoops on the floor and jump into the middle, or you can place the hoops so that players climb over them. Also invite everyone to stand in a circle and hold hands. Then pass the hoop through the first participant, and then the hoop should go all the way to the end. You can throw not one hoop, but two or more, as many as you have in the house.

Cocktails

Fruit cocktails are perfect for a Hawaiian children's party. For example, take 3 ripe bananas, 2 ripe mangoes, a spoonful of honey, and 50 grams of apple juice. Mix everything in a blender and serve in tall glasses.

Or you can make it from strawberries and low-fat milk/yogurt. It will turn out not tasty, but very tasty. Moreover, you can take not only fresh strawberries, but also mix directly frozen ones. If you wish, you can also make a vegetable smoothie with tomatoes, carrots, young beets, avocado, cucumbers, and spinach.

Have fun at your Hawaiian party!
