Main mistakes when choosing
Oddly enough, but all unsuccessful wedding photo shoots became so precisely because of the wrong choice of the photographer. And the point here is not at all about professionalism. Perhaps there was no spark between you, perhaps you gave him an impossible task, asking him to shoot in an unfamiliar environment or in an unfamiliar style. There can be many reasons for failure and fatal mistakes. Let's name only the main ones:
- The pursuit of cheapness. Or vice versa – choosing an unreasonably expensive photographer for your wedding. Both options can turn out to be very unsuccessful.
- Concluding an agreement with a photographer who you did not like when meeting in person is repulsive behavior, unusual speech, too high self-esteem.
- Organizing a meeting with the photographer for only the groom or only the bride. Remember: it is very important that you both like this person, that you both find a common language with him - after all, both of you will have to work with him throughout the entire day (perhaps one of the most important, significant and memorable in life).
- The photographer's promises are too unrealistic. As we have already said, it is very problematic, and to be honest, it is completely impossible to deliver a finished order a week after the wedding. If a photographer claims to be able to do this, the photos will most likely be of very mediocre quality.
- The presence in the portfolio of “well-worn” photo stamps such as “bride on the palm”, group photos “all in a row”, etc. Be prepared for the fact that such a photographer will be endlessly “creative”, challenging you, creating new “exclusive” masterpieces.
