How to decorate a room with your own hands

If the wedding is decorated in a nautical style, then thin white ropes can be used instead of threads. For vertical garlands in a room, thick threads or fishing line are good. It is better to glue figures to the ribbons or attach them indirectly: loops, hooks or rings to the hearts, which are then strung onto the ribbons.

Crepe paper pompoms

Pompoms are voluminous paper flounces (crepe, wrapping, papyrus paper is used) that are used for room decoration. Such original decorations for the bride’s room look expensive, but can be easily made at home using inexpensive material. The bride can decorate her room with them, hanging them along the walls, on the window or under the ceiling, organizing them into wedding garlands, which can be hung horizontally, vertically, around the doorway, stair railings, fixed on the floor near the baseboards, lining the path for the groom.

To make such a wedding decoration, you will need paper, a satin ribbon (to fasten the product, and use it to attach the pompom to the garland or wall/ceiling/plinth/objects in the bride’s room). Progress:

Cut the paper into squares 20 by 20 cm. You should get 5-10 sheets per pompom. The sizes of the squares may be different; the larger they are, the larger the decoration will be.
Place the paper on top of each other, connect it into one accordion, the width of the bend is about 2 cm.
Fold the product in half, use scissors to make the corners more rounded, but do not cut the folded area completely.
Unbend the accordion, the end result should be something like a bow or butterfly.
Tie the product in the center in a narrow place. Leave the ends of the ribbon at a length that will allow you to hang the pompom at the desired height.

With candles

Candles are an excellent option for decorating a wedding in the dark (although this rarely happens, because the festivities begin at the bride’s house in the morning) and in the cold winter season, when a light is associated with warmth and comfort. The bride can create a darkened atmosphere in the room artificially by curtaining the window with thick curtains and turning off the lights or darkening a certain area of the room (corner, bed, table, niche) - in this environment the lights will look especially charming. Even in a bright bride's bedroom, candles will look romantic, so using them is appropriate at any wedding.
