Pastel colors in the interior are often associated with Provence or classics.:) Or boredom. Although in fact the design can be very modern and laconic. Serious compromises had to be made in this project. In general, everything turned out interesting here: the customers are a middle-aged married couple who live with the mother of the owner of the apartment. And just imagine: the spouses like modern style, laconic simple forms, glass, metal, light shades and lots and lots of light in the interior, but mother, on the contrary, is more into tenderness and beauty and all sorts of pastoral stuff. So again I had to remember the magic courses in order to harmoniously combine all the wishes and translate them into a single bright interior where all family members would feel comfortable.

When developing a kitchen design project, 62% of our customers plan an L-shaped kitchen set.

Living room design

— It’s clear that the abundance of glass, metal and plastic is a tribute to modern style, but doesn’t this make the interior cold?
— That’s right, modern style implies the use of modern materials in the design. The same can be said about gray-blue pastel colors in the interior - they perfectly support the declared style and correspond to the tastes of customers. But to prevent the kitchen-living room from looking cold, we used cozy textiles, wooden floors and many different lighting scenarios. By the way, about the floor: the “deck” board visually greatly expands the space! We chose a light gray tone to match the overall color scheme.

Current combinations of pastel colors in bedroom design

A bedroom in pastel colors is the most fashionable solution for styles such as neoclassical, classic and even modern. A pale interior with well-thought-out lighting and pastel accents will always look magical.

It is pastel accents that allow us to create the romantic atmosphere we need in everyday life. It would be appropriate to use white, pale gray or beige furniture and a light main background for pastel accents.

Rose quartz in bed headboard design

In the photo: Rose quartz in a bedroom design in pastel colors

Rose Quartz is a very fashionable shade of pale pink, always with a subtle glow like quartz. This effect can be created on various types of textiles, upholstery and bed linen.

In this case, rose quartz with fashionable capiton is used not only for the headboard and chaise longue at the foot of the bed, but also for the bedspread. It is the perfect match for many pale coffee wall shades, white and pale gray, and beige walls in the bedroom.

Neoclassical bedroom with lavender accents

In the photo: Bedroom interior in pastel colors using lavender shades

This incredible bedroom interior, woven by our designers from amazing dessert shades, looks very romantic! Let's find out what they are called!

The main color used in painting the wall and upholstering the ottoman is delicate lavender, the canopy for the bed is ash, and the carpet is made in the shade of amethyst. The lamps above the bedside tables also look stunning - they are attached to the ceiling and, thanks to the crystal, add a silver glow to this lavender bedroom.

The shade used for textile panels, bed linen and upholstery of ottoman and chaise longue is a pale crimson, a cool shade of the pink spectrum. In the window design we see it in a darker tone.

Such a bedroom can rightfully be considered a royal interior. Everything about it is truly impeccable: the decoration is made with high-quality materials, the furniture is only the best, and the fabrics are so soft that it seems that your imagination is playing with you.

The interior design of this baby girl's room is incredibly artful. Gray-blue walls with panels, pro-classic trim with moldings and moldings, a charming traditional rug and a sky blue headboard are sure to please its owner.

Shades of pearls and mother-of-pearl in bedroom design

In the photo: Interior design in light colors

It's no secret that pearl and mother-of-pearl shades look very elegant. They can also be used in interior design in light colors and will especially decorate the appearance of the bedroom.

At the same time, there are a huge variety of such shades - for example, river mother of pearl, cream, white and pink pearls. Mother of pearl can even be purple, dark blue, chocolate - it’s all about a special type of glow and magical shimmers. And pearls can be, for example, eggplant or lilac.

Beige shades in bedroom design

In the photo: Bedroom interior design in pastel colors

To create a pastel bedroom interior, a certain shade of beige is often taken as a basis. All beige variations can be divided into warm and cold, but it is the cold ones that are more preferable in a modern interior.

Today, the trend is gray, neutral, pink, even green, lilac and peach-beige shades. But cream, butter, peanuts and other “more yellow” ones are much less popular.

Cabinet design

— A full-fledged office is a real materialized dream of those who often work at home.
But how justified are glass partitions here? — Glass partitions are a separate topic and our well-deserved pride!
They fit incredibly well into the interior concept. In addition, they transmit light and create the illusion of a single space, and this point - the abundance of light and air in the interior - was especially important to us. As for comfortable and fulfilling work, these partitions have a secret: their variable transparency will allow you, if necessary, to retire and work without distractions.

Cabinet design

- Cool rack!
Is this a custom item? — Yes, the rack, like many other furniture in the project, is made to order. Now all kinds of shelves and racks are very relevant: open and closed, through and built-in, with and without soft lighting. They save a lot of space and are quite roomy at the same time. In our case, the rack also serves as a lamp, and alternating inserts of frosted and glossy glass reflect and scatter light in different ways, which also creates an interesting effect. The color scheme remained the same: pastel colors in the interior plus an abundance of white.

Living room design

— Is this the view from the hallway?
It turns out that we immediately find ourselves in the kitchen-living room? — It seems that the option is quite controversial, right? Especially if there is no vestibule where you can leave your shoes: then all the dust and dirt from the street risks immediately getting not just into the apartment, but into the kitchen area and “on the dining table.” But we have this moment provided for. In addition, on the left behind the mirrored sliding door, we placed a spacious dressing room, which will always keep the hallway in order. For the floor we chose the same tiles as in the kitchen area. This porcelain stoneware is a very durable and wear-resistant material.

Peridot: transparent green

The color of peridot is difficult to define: it, like a chameleon, sometimes sparkles with energetic greenery, sometimes takes on a bashful mint hue. The latter, by the way, has been seen by us many times on the catwalks, and not in one thing, but most often in the total look format, like J. JS Lee.

Bedroom design

- What an original wall design!
What kind of material is this? — Behind the TV itself there is a fresco wallpaper - handmade, fabric imitation. This is quite an expensive pleasure, but believe me, it’s worth it! A high-quality fresco can transform any interior. Moreover, it is practically eternal. We decorated the toilet area with wooden panels. The result was a very original combination of different natural textures. In addition, with this design we also achieved an interesting asymmetry effect, which is typical of modern interiors.

Fashionable ideas in interior design of the living room and kitchen in pastel colors

In the photo: Living room design in white and blue tones

The living room and kitchen are ideal for using pastel shades. Often the basis for such an interior is white, ash or beige. The pastel colors in these two rooms are especially beautiful in neoclassical, Scandinavian and classical styles.

At the same time, a living room or kitchen in pastel colors does not have to be completely devoid of dark, rich or black accents. It’s just that their use when choosing this range is minimal.

Living room interior with pastel accents and iced coffee walls

In the photo: Living room interior with ice coffee-colored walls

Speaking about the ice coffee shade, which is popularized by the Panton Color Institute commission, we can confidently say that it is an ideal option for painting the walls in the living room. In this interior, pastel shades such as pale turquoise, gray-lilac and ash pink were used for the design of the cushions, and the upholstery of the chair was made of fabric in a pale jade tone.

The decorative wood-like structure on the ceiling in the center of the room is made in a pastel shade of ivory, the coffee table is in milky color, and the sofa here is in a traditional beige color. Thus, our designers made sure that all shades were harmoniously combined.

Bright living room in ash tones with pale cyan curtains

This living room has a very special atmosphere. The walls and ceiling here are almost identical in color, with an ash shade used in the ceiling design and a gray-beige color in the wall design. At the same time, the upholstered furniture in the living room is made in linen color. This color scheme is universal for apartment design in light and pastel colors.

This almost monochrome interior is complemented by very beautiful pale cyan curtains and gray-lilac pillows on the sofa. The ensemble of colors and shades turned out to be restrained, but incredibly aesthetic.

Interior of the Italian cafe "Bonasera" with pastel upholstery of chairs

In the Kurs shopping center in Odintsovo, Moscow region, the renovation of the Bonasera cafe was recently completed according to a design project by designers Ruslan and Maria Green. This cafe design project used a pastel palette which looks very inspiring.

Look carefully at the chairs in the cafe - their upholstery has silver tints and is made in shades of ash rose, pale turquoise and azure gray. Such a skillful combination pleases the eye not only of the owners, but also of all visitors.

Guest room interior in pastel colors

Textiles always play an important role in pastel-colored interiors. Here, pillows on the sofa are used in shades of rose quartz and sky blue, as well as steel gray, which can also be classified as pastel. A high-pile carpet is a great idea for the living room; it is made in beige ivory, but the designers chose the curtains in a champagne shade.

Such a living room will be a real oasis of calm and relaxation for you after a busy day at work. In addition, it is perfect for families with small children - the panel in the form of cherry blossoms will appeal to kids.

Pastel colors of the living room interior in Art Deco style

In the photo: Interior of a bright living room with pastel accents

The interior of this living room with a fireplace is striking at first glance. White walls and a gilded ceiling, as well as a beige sofa and armchair form the basis of the color scheme. But for accents we used our favorite pastel colors - sky blue for one of the TV furniture modules, rose quartz for pillows, brown and beige ivory for the carpet.

Kitchen with pastel accents

This luxurious room is impressive with light white furniture with decorative gold fittings and dark walls in Venetian plaster with exquisite tints in a mouth-watering milk chocolate color.

The armchairs for the bar counter are upholstered in dark salmon (a type of pale pink), while the chair covers in the kitchen dining area use royal pink, ideal for neoclassical interiors.

White kitchen with pale blue accents

In the photo: Spectacular interior for a white kitchen

First of all, this kitchen is designed in black and white colors. But due to the gentle transitions in halftones - from white to river mother-of-pearl and a delicate sky blue accent for dishes and a shade of teal for transparent glass, such an interior can also be called pastel, with additions in gloss black.

The amazing combination of this interior is represented by mirrors in the decoration of walls, ceilings and cupboards, a glossy countertop, exquisite dishes and incredible lamps above the dining area.

Bedroom design

— Great idea with a glazed shelving - it makes the closet seem smaller.
- Absolutely right!
Open or glazed shelves add air to the interior, and at the same time make the adjacent frame furniture lighter. In our case, we also used white, which also adds light, supports pastel colors in the interior and makes the narrow closet even less bulky. To pair with the cabinet, we selected a floating console table that can perform different functions: a TV stand, a work desk or a dressing area.

Color blocking in outerwear

Every time fashion turns to the 60s, certain moments characteristic of the fashion of that time are chosen as current trends. Sometimes it’s specific styles, sometimes it’s detailing. Today the embodiment of the 60s is color blocking. And it stuck for a long time, because in different versions it suits so many people. And it's very versatile.

An example of using color blocking in outerwear for the autumn color type

In the photo we see a coat using color blocking, that is, individual color blocks. The blocks can use both achromatic and neutral, as well as bright colors, as well as fabrics of various textures, as in this case.

Many designers create color blocking inspired by nature. Here is a comparison of a coat and a source of inspiration.

An example of using color blocking in outerwear for the autumn color type

The model is demonstrated by a bright representative of the autumn color type.

In this photo we see color blocking options from Fendi, a leading trendsetter in fur fashion.

An example of using color blocking in outerwear for the autumn color type

In the first case, the model is wearing a purple short fur coat with blocks of black and red-orange colors. And in the second - a coat with a green fur collar, against which a block of white color stands out. The result is a combination of blocks: black, green, white and powder along the vertical edge of the coat.

Color blocking doesn't always make you look fat. It can perform completely different functions depending on the arrangement of colors and the transfer of accents.

Most often, blocks are placed asymmetrically; symmetry is rarely used. The photo below is an example of such unevenness, and it is very clear that it is this that gives the image a special charm. These are options from Fendi.

An example of using color blocking in outerwear for the autumn color type

The coat on the right uses an interesting technique: a black and white block of fur emphasizes the face, and blocks at the bottom edge highlight the legs. The middle part of the coat is as if blurred and veiled due to its color. This coat is suitable for a winter or autumn wardrobe (if you remove the collar).

These pictures show color blocking options in a sporty style.

Vertical blocks are also used here, which visually elongate the figure.

Bedroom design

— Is this dressing room number two?
— Yes, in this bedroom we managed to do without unnecessary corners - the dressing room turned out to be built-in and quite spacious, although a little smaller than in the first bedroom. And here’s another interesting point: there are many different lines in the room: there is even stitching on the doors, on the cabinets, on the carpet, and even on the upholstered furniture. Such geometricity is inherent in the modern style, which has become the main one in the project. And, although we made concessions to the tastes of the owner of the room, we still added this unifying element.

Psychology of pastel colors

The popularity of delicate bedroom design lies in its effect on the psyche and nerves. All pastel colors are ideal for all types of temperament; they have a beneficial effect on a person, quickly relieve stress and refresh, giving pleasant relaxation primarily to the eyes.

If you decorate your bedroom in bright colors, a person’s nervous system will be highly excited.

That’s why in the modern world, where there is constant daily stress, soothing pastel-delicate tones are so valued.

Bathroom design

— Is this design in the same mood as if the customer’s mother chose it?
- Yes, that's right: the same pastel colors.:) In the interior of a bathroom, such lavender shades are not found very often, which in our opinion is completely in vain. Lilac and pink tones look great, especially in small bathrooms. This bathroom is slightly larger than the previous one - 5.5 square meters. m, but a quick shower was installed here. The customers decided that it would be more economical and logical, since the apartment already had one bath. In general, when it comes to developing the design of the bathrooms, this turned out to be the longest and most difficult moment in the entire project. It’s even surprising, but it was here that we could not come to a general agreement so that everything would come together and everyone would like the style, the color scheme, and the budget. But in the end, all the difficulties were overcome, the wishes were taken into account: everyone was happy!

Delicate pastel shades

Different shades of pastel have their own names. All the colors look as if they have been bleached by the sun.

Juicy green becomes mint, scarlet becomes coral, purple becomes lavender, or soft lilac. The yellow will become a pale lemon shade, and the blue will become a light turquoise.

Therefore, the delicacy of tones will give refined elegance and stunning aesthetics.
